The Myth of the Sacrifice Creative – 2012

At National College “Vlaicu Voda” , Curtea de Arges took place on 10 November 2012, the symposium “Myth and legend in Romanian Space”, organized by “Association for Intercultural Dialogue in partnership with National College ” Octav Onicescu “, Bucharest and National College “Vlaicu Voda”; this symposium was the first activity of the project ” The Myth of creative sacrifice ” and students from eight high schools from Bucharest attended : National College “Mihai Vitezul” , National College”Ion Luca Caragiale”, National College “Mihai Eminescu”, National College “Gheorghe Lazar” , The High School “Jean Monnet”, National College “Matei Basarab”, National College “Ion Creanga”, Philosophy teachers, , Methodists DSU, teachers other specialties, representatives of partner institutions: National Commission for UNESCO Romania and the Romanian Institute for Human Rights.
The official opening was done by the Philosophy teachers Tania Nicolau, president of the Association for Intercultural Dialogue. Mrs. Lucretia Baluta, UNESCO expert and the headteacher of National College “Vlaicu Voda”, Stefan Florea. Students from National College “Vlaicu Voda”, coordinated by the teachers Constantin Nicolau, Nicolae Lazar, Daniel David and Stephen Nicholas achieved a presentation of their school and their town , Curtea de Arges, Arges Monastery and Neagoe Basarab royal churc; also the masterpiece of Neagoe “The teachings of Neagoe by his son Theodosius’ and the Legend of Master Manole were presented after which students and teachers divided into three sections – history- geography and philosophy were present papers on” The Myth of the Sacrifice “.
